Philip Alcide Robichaux III, age 57, of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Nashville. Philip was born on August 31, 1966, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Marcia Gayle Holtzinger and Philip Alcide Robichaux, Jr.
Philip was a remarkable soul who defied the challenges of severe disability to touch the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a student at Brightstone for many years. His incredible spirit shone brightly through his warm and welcoming nature, always eager to make people feel good about themselves. Despite facing physical obstacles, Philip had an indomitable spirit and an infectious positivity that inspired those around him. His ability to see the beauty in others and offer unwavering support and kindness was nothing short of extraordinary. Philip’s legacy is one of resilience, love, and the profound impact he had on the lives of all who were privileged to be a part of his journey. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his immense heart and the light he brought into the lives of others.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Catherine Robichaux Stallworth (Robert) of Nashville, TN; Nikki Robichaux Belsome (Floyd) of Thibodaux, LA; Jay Robichaux (Amanda) of Milwaukie, OR; Joshua Holtzinger (Sarah) of Denver, CO; stepfather, Paul Holtzinger of Waverly, TN; stepmother, Debra Robichaux of Pierre Part, LA; nieces and nephews: Meghan Schneider (Aaron), Parker Stallworth, Grant Belsome, Jack Holtzinger, Lorelei Holtzinger, Adelea Robichaux, and Frances Robichaux.
Philip is preceded in death by his mother, Marcia Gayle Holtzinger, and father, Philip Alcide Robichaux, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN beginning at 1:00 P.M. until the memorial service at 2:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow at 3:00 at Brightstone, 3000 BrightStone Pkwy., Franklin, TN.
Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date at the Wade Knight Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brightstone in honor of Philip’s memory.
