Funeral service for Philex Buck Daniel, age 76, of Moulton, will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Barry Cater officiating. Mr. Daniel, who died Sunday, June16, 2024, at his residence, was born August 14, 1947, in Alabama to Berlyn Daniel and Bertha Lee Ray Daniel. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Daniel; daughter, Rita Daniel; parents; five brothers, Lyndon Daniel, Shorty Daniel, John Daniel, Roy Daniel, and Buddy Daniel; and four sisters, Jewel Smith, Martha Black, Ruthie Styles, and Nell Tanksley. Philex enjoyed fishing, tending his garden, and telling stories to make people laugh. He loved his grandchildren and always enjoyed bringing them watermelon. Lacon Trade Day was his fun place to hang out and spend time with his close friends and people who have become extended family.
He is survived by his son, Michael Daniel (Sandra); five sisters, Rachael Morin (Johnnie), Sissy Parker (Billy), Dorothy Mears (Richard), Sue Higginbotham (Guy), and Sylvia Norwood; five grandchildren, Brittney Clark (Lance), Alex Daniel (Tasha), Megan Jenkins (Christopher), Kaidee Daniel, and Emily Daniel; and seven great-grandchildren, Brynlee Clark, Cason Clark, Laila Daniel, Aden Daniel, Casey Jenkins, Emoree Daniel, and Everett Daniel.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Daniel, Alex Daniel, Jason Bryant, Christopher Jenkins, Hunter Brown, and Lance Clark.
