Peter Stanley Kendrick

Peter Kendrick Lt. Col. Peter Stanley Kendrick, U.S.A.F. (Ret.), age 85, formerly of Kennesaw, GA passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was born in Athol, MA to the late Karl and Caroline Crutcher Kendrick. Mr. Kendrick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He also worked with NASA during the Apollo missions as their communication point when the module was on the other side of the Earth. After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Kendrick earned his master’s degree in accounting and opened a CPA firm. He also taught at Kennesaw State College.

 

Mr. Kendrick is survived by his sons, Kevin Kendrick and his wife Elizabeth and Michael Kendrick and his wife Julie; grandchildren, Erika Leigh, Stephanie, Nathaniel, Gregory, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Piper, Genevieve, and Selena; and sister, Mary Varisco and her husband Dave. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Kendrick; daughter-in-law, Diana Kendrick; and brother, James Kendrick.

 

Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 8, 2024 from 10:30am until 11:30am at Sosebee Funeral Home. Burial of Mr. Kendrick’s cremated remains will take place at Georgia National Cemetery on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 12:30pm.
