Peter Fortin – Obituary

Peter Fortin, age 72 of Huntsville, died Tuesday at his residence. He was born and raised in Mendoza, Argentina and came to United States in 1965 to complete his engineering degree. He returned to Mendoza in 1967 to marry his life love. They immigrated to the States in 1967 where Peter continued his passion for education. He was an accomplished electrical engineer. He was a tireless professional, mentor, and friend to many. Peter will be remembered for his humility and belief that family was most important in life.

He is survived by his wife Ana Maria, his daughter Cynthia Van Beck and her husband Ted, and his beloved grandson Chad of Huntsville, AL.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 5th, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 13550 Chaney Thompson Rd. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center or the Huntsville Parkinson’s Support Group. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family
