Peter Edwin Dalstrom – Obituary

Peter Edwin Dalstrom, 67, of Town Creek, died peacefully in the presence of family members and loving caregivers at the family home on Palm Sunday, April 13. Peter was the son of Edwin F. and Natalie E. Dalstrom of Town Creek and formerly of Decatur. Born In Knoxville, TN, he grew up in Harlan, KY and Decatur. Peter later lived in Huntsville, Dallas, TX and Townsend, TN before settling in Town Creek. He is a graduate of the University of North Alabama.

Peter was committed to helping those in need and throughout his life he was activiely involved with organizations working to eliminate homelessness, poverty, and hunger. Within the community, he was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Peter was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He had a tremendous love for his family, particularly for his numerous nieces and nephews with whom he spent many wonderful summers.

Peter will be remembered for his sense of humor and his commitment to family and friends.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be decided. Reverend Jeff Parker of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Decatur will be officiating.

Peter is survived by brothers and sisters, Bruce Emery Dalstrom (Maria), Ann Dalstrom Westall (Rod), Timothy Good Dalstrom (Mickey), Martha Dalstrom Smith(Thomas) and numerous nieces, nephews, and a great-niece and nephew.
