Perry Glenn Martin, age 73 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. A native of Franklin County, he was born on July 16, 1950, to the late Fred and Louise (Sims) Martin. Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army, with his basic training in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. He reflected on his military service as a good experience that taught him discipline, allowing him to travel to places he wouldn’t have gotten to go otherwise (including Luxenburg, Germany and France where he served as a postal clerk and guard on the mail truck), and allowing him to have special bonds and friendships with fellow soldiers across the country. He was the owner and operator of Martin Plumbing. Glenn enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, and especially enjoyed performing with his family at various places. He also enjoyed fishing, particularly in tournaments, as well as playing cards, reading, and following all genres of sports. But most of all, Glenn loved his family and cherished the time spent with them. He attended Huntland Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Dean Martin; son, Chris Martin; siblings, Harrell Martin, Felix Martin, Dixie Sims, JoAnne Atnip, Oakley Martin, and Grady Martin. Glenn is survived by his loving son, Rob (Wendi) Martin; grandchildren, Riley, Emma Rose, Lake, Zöe, and Chloe; great-grandchildren, Malibu and Miami; daughter-in-law, Dana McCallie-Martin; siblings, Linda (Henry) Roop, Gladys (Joe) Keller, Debbie (Ron) Farmer, Ken Bub (Linda) Martin, Billy Martin, and Mark (Vicki) Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Watson Memorial Park. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)-967-2222
