Peggy Vernon, age 79, of Russellville, Alabama passed away May 21, 2024. She was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church in Tuscumbia.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the chapel at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Jeremy Sanderson officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Mamie Wilson; her daughter, Angela Vernon; and her husband, Raymond Vernon.
She is survived by her daughter, Dedra Rose (Ryan); brothers, Johnnie Wilson (Donna), Jimmie Wilson (Shirley), and David Jennings (Janet); granddaughter, Ashley Phifer (Cain). As well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends that will miss Peggy dearly.
Pallbearers will be Cain Phifer, Shane Cook, Wayne Frazier, Jay Cook, and Wilson Frazier.
