Peggy Sue McLain Grantham Curlin – Obituary

Peggy Sue McLain Grantham Curlin, 74, of Bolivar passed away Saturday afternoon, January 14, 2017, at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.

A native of Stantonville, she was the daughter of the late Dalton and Velma Gray McLain and had lived in Hardeman County over 55 years. She had worked in retail as part of Grantham’s grocery for over 40 years and was a Baptist in belief. In her leisure time, Mrs. Peggy enjoyed sewing, reading, canning, traveling and going to yard sales and flea markets.

She leaves her daughter, Linda Baker (Allen) of Bolivar; her son, Ricky Grantham (Stacie) of Middleton; her sister, Ida Lou Williams of Stantonville; her brother, Billy Lee McLain (Mary Ann) of Adamsville; her grandaughter, Cayla White (Andy) of Alabama; a great-grandaughter, Morgan White; and step-grandchildren, Craig Harris (Heather) and Christopher Harris, both of Middleton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Alta Jean Boswell, Martha Lavern Roland and Mary Estelle McLain; and a brother, George Edward McLain.
