A Celebration of Life Service for Peggy Moore, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, MS, will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Carey Chapel Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, MS, with interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of service at Carey Chapel Baptist Church. Peggy passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in her home, surrounded by family. Peggy was born on December 29, 1939, in Lafayette Springs, MS to the late Malone and Essie Joslin. Peggy graduated from Thaxton High School in 1957. She worked over 30 years with General Electric, in Memphis, TN. After retiring from GE, Peggy moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1994. She was a member of Carey Chapel Baptist Church, served as Sunday School Director and VBS Secretary for the church. Peggy is survived by her daughters, Donna Jean Ramming (Jerry) and Tracy Pence Fitch; her grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor Nygaard, Tyler Fitch, and Drew Fitch; her great grandchildren, Bryce, Aubrey, and Alexander; her brothers, Wayne Joslin (Willene) and Jimmy Joslin (Shelia); her sister, Ann Phillips (Donald); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Hammontree (d. 2002) and Will Moore (d. 2007); and her brother, Larry Joslin (d. 2009). Pallbearers include Stephanie Taylor Nygaard, Tyler Fitch, Drew Fitch, Ricky Reaves, Van Malone, Dallas Hunsucker, and Blair Godsey.
