Funeral service for Peggy Long Brock, age 84, of Decatur, will be Monday, October 2, 2023 at 12:00PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Postell officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
She was born May 7, 1939 in Morgan County, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton “Shorty” and Emma Wallace Long, husband Billy Brock, sisters, Annie Bishop and Katherine Long.
She is survived by her son, James “Peanut” Brock (Cheryl), daughter, Malinda Vest, sisters, Sherry Long Benedict (Neil), and Brenda Taylor, grandchildren, Ashley Guthas, Tyler Brock, great grandchildren, Jersi Guthas, and Shiloh Guthas.
She was a member of Chapel Baptist Church, a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Brock, Laron Hardy, Jerryl Bishop, Van Graham, Neil Benedict, and Robert Turrentine.
