Peggy Irene Wood Wells, 83, Phil Campbell, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 at her home after an extended illness.
She lived most all of her life in Phil Campbell and was a member of First Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. Mrs. Wells taught second grade at Phil Campbell Elementary School for most of her teaching career. She was a member of Women’s Missionary Union, retired teachers of Franklin County, and a member of the Gideon Auxiliary.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 17, 2017 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Phil Campbell, with Brother Terry Buster officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be in Phil Campbell Cemetery.
Survivors include husband, Billy G. Wells; children, Robert Maxwell ( Sheila) Wells, Charlotte Wells (Gary) Dolan, Thomas (Tom) Lee (Delisa) Wells, Timothy Gene (Donna Jo) Wells; Grandchildren, Andy Dolan, Amy Dolan Gunderman, Julie Dolan Bolton, Jonathan Lee Wells, Brentley Gene Wells, Jeremy Ray Wells, Kasey Lynn Wells, Timothy Mark Wells, Robert Christopher Wells and Joshua Thomas Wells; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lee and Beulah Wood; sister, Betty Wood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, First Baptist Church Building Fund, Phil Campbell.
