Peggy Garvin, 89, of Albertville, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 3, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Kathy (A.G.) Garrett Tapscott; sons, Charles Kim (Peggy) Garrett, Mike Garrett, and David Garrett; grandchildren, Anna Garrett, Caitlin Garrett, Wesley Garrett, Charley Garrett, and Hadley Garrett; and great-grandchildren, Selina Garrett, Ella Garrett, Amina Garrett, Amaya Garrett, and Avery Stanfield; special friend, Lee Mattingly. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles E. Garrett and Jimmy Garvin; her parents, Rufus and Minnie Stewart; her brothers, Billy Stewart and Bobby Stewart; and her sisters, Opha Vinson and Burma Davis. Peggy was a cherished member of the First Baptist Church in Albertville and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Memory Hill Cemetery on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11 AM. Family requests donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in lieu of flowers.
