Peggy Davis Bottoms, age 80, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was a native of Nashville, TN, the first Meter Maid of Lawrenceburg, former Dispatcher for Lawrenceburg Police Department, and retired Dispatcher from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. Mrs. Bottoms was a member of Noah’s Ark Widows Ministry, Ethridge Eastern Star, F.O.P. and Gum Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Florence Maynard Penix; her first husband, Marion E. Davis, Jr.; her second husband, Roy C. Bottoms; one sister, Marie Slack; and two brothers, Buddy Penix and Jim Penix.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, November 02, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 03, 2013, with Chad Clanton officiating.
