Peggy Ann Walton Farmer, 80, passed away Monday. Peggy was born and raised in Tallapoosa, Georgia and moved to Huntsville with her husband John in 1962. She lived her dream, that she shared with her husband, of being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She served her Lord and Savior as a longtime member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Andra Nettleton (Tim), Amy Perry (Troy), and Julie Taylor (Josh); her grandchildren, Cynthia Ann Neal, Emily Nettleton, Ethan Nettleton, Taylor Sweat, and Payton Perry; and great-grandchildren, Natalie Crumbley, McKenzie Farmer, and Callen Sweat. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Edward Farmer; her son, Johnny Farmer; mother, Grace Walton; father, June Walton; sister, Freda Jackson; and brothers, Bill Walton, Wayne Walton, Jim Walton, and Bob Walton.
Visitation will be from 12:30 pm-2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Sherwood
Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
