Peggy Ann Parham Bass

Peggy Ann Parham Bass, age 81, of Nettleton, MS, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024. Peggy was born to Jesse Gabriel Parham and Lottie Mae McCormick Parham on May 31, 1943, and lived in the Parham community in Hatley, MS. She was a 1961 graduate of Amory High School where she was a very talented basketball player. She went on to play basketball in Nashville, TN for Nashville Business College. Peggy met her husband in Nashville and spent many years of her life there raising her children. Peggy worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Nashville where she retired after 31 years of service. After retirement, she returned to Mississippi to live out the rest of her years.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey B. Bass and Keith E. Bass of Nettleton, MS; daughter, Stephanie B Belcher (Tommy) of White House, TN; Grandchildren, Joshua T. Belcher (Brittney) of Greenbrier, TN, Jaycee T. Bass of Antioch, TN, and Krysta L. Douglas of Trinity, FL; Great-grandchildren, Kinsley Belcher and Adelynn Belcher; sisters, Frances Riley (Paul) of Nettleton, MS, and Donna Spann of Kingston Springs, TN; aunt, Mary Lou McCormick Perry of Reynoldsburg, OH and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lottie Mae Parham and her sister Alice Mae Parham Columns.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Crosspointe Fellowship Church, 265 Metts Rd, Nettleton, MS from 10 AM to 12 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12 PM. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
