Peggy Ann Hovater Laster, 87 of Muscle Shoals, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024. Her visitation will be Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Her service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastor Tyler Armstrong officiating. Interment will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Peggy was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church. She was devoted to serving her family and church. The way that she lived her life, loving and serving others, leaves a lasting impact on those around her. She enjoyed spending her time reading, listening to gospel music, and watching Alabama football.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack Laster; parents, Carlon and Elizabeth Hovater; and brother, Larry G. Hovater.
Peggy is survived by her son, Andy Laster; daughter, Shane Conn and husband John; and daughter-in-law, Leasha Kirby Laster; grandchildren, Angie Conn Gunn and husband Brendan, Karen Conn King and husband Cory, Kelly Laster Fuller and husband Cody, Emily Laster Johnston and husband Phil; great grandchildren, Arden and Lydia King, and Archie and Murphy Fuller; and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Brendan Gunn, Cory King, Cody Fuller, Phil Johnston, Everett Laster, Lyn Laster, and Larry J. Hovater.
