Peggy Allred, 90 of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024, at Charter Assisted Living. Mrs. Allred was born on April 3rd, 1933, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, to George and Johnnie Pittman.
Mrs. Allred is survived by her daughter Pat Gates (Randy), of Cleveland, Tennessee.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Allred; and children Mike Allred and Kathy Allred.
Funeral services for Mrs. Allred will be Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Kip McKee officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Allred grew up and lived in Midway, Kentucky, until 1951. Peggy and her husband, Bill, lived in Athens, Alabama since 1966, and attended Salem Springs Baptist Church in Elkmont, where she was active in children’s Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and the Ladies Missionary Group. In 2016, Bill and Peggy moved to Cleveland, Tennessee, where their daughter, Pat Gates, could take care of them. Mrs. Peggy was known in her circles for making the best fried apple pies.
