Pedestrian Killed In Multi-Vehicle Accident Near Meridianville

MERIDIANVILLE- The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a multi-vehicle acciden that has taken the life of a pedestrian in Madison County near Meridianville:

“A multi-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 8:49 p.m. Thursday, July 6, has claimed the life of a Toney women.

The crash occurred when the 2013 GMC Yukon driven by Monique L. Jackson, 47, of Meridianville, struck Ruby A. Dawkins, 34, the pedestrian. After the initial crash, Dawkins was struck by the 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Anthony S. Owens, 50, of New Hope and the 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Journey S. Castillo, 20, of Harvest. Dawkins was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near the 343 mile marker, approximately one mile north of Meridianville, in Madison County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
