MUSCLE SHOALS-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a near Muscle Shoals:
“A two-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, has claimed the life of a Leighton man.
The pedestrian, Timothy D. Wood Jr., 34, was fatally injured when he was struck by the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Christopher L. Walden, 36, of Sheffield. Wood was struck after the Silverado struck a trailer attached to the parked 2013 Chevrolet Suburban that Wood had initially been driving. Wood was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 184 near Shaw Road, approximately five miles east of Muscle Shoals, in Colbert County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
