Pearlie Mae Blaxton Dutton, age 87, of Moulton, answered her call to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at NHC Healthcare in Moulton. She was born on June 28, 1926, to John B. and Martha Hale Blaxton. She was a very devoted servant to her Lord for 71 years, and the most loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother you would ever meet. She was a member of Elam Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel, of 42 years, daughter, Shirley, her parents and brothers, J.B. and Junior Blaxton.
She leaves behind two granddaughters, Stephanie Hill Kelley and husband, Chad, of Moulton and Alicia Hill Proctor and husband, Jonathan, of Danville along with her great-grandchildren, Mararee and Eli Proctor and Ryleigh and Brantley Kelley whom she loved and care for as her own many times. She is also survived by her sisters, Corrine Lentz, Elaine Ray and Ethel Kilpatrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton with Reverend Francis Proctor and Reverend Jonathan Proctor officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Her body will be in the chapel two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are to be Mike Dutton, Dwight Escue, Ray Hill, Ray Blaxton, Thomas Jones and Eli Proctor.
