Mrs. Pearlie Gertrude Greene, age 91 of Rogersville, AL (formerly of Athens, AL) passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Greene was born on July 12, 1926 in Limestone County to Willie and Pearl Eubanks Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ruel Stewart, Jr.; 2nd husband, Wilson Greene; son, Ruel Stewart, III; grandson, Jonathan Greene; two great-grandchildren, Beth and Becky Kimbrough and 10 siblings.
Mrs. Greene is survived by her daughters, Mildred Fleming of Rogersville, AL and Elizabeth Yarbrough (Tony) of Arab, AL; 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Greene will be at 2:00PM, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Marcus Hill and Shane McConnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice.
