Funeral service for Paul Waymon Lindler, 97, will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Eva United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Stone and Rev. Al Dean officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Eva Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eva United Methodist Church.
Mr. Lindler died on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Cullman County Long Term Care Center (Folsom Center). He was born April 14, 1921, in Winston County to Brooks Lindler and Lizzie Turrentine Lindler. Paul and his wife, Maribelle moved to Eva in 2004 from the Atlanta area, where they lived for 48 years. Paul worked at Lockheed Aircraft Corporation for 30 years. He retired in 1986 after working as an Internal Audit Supervisor. He was a Certified Internal Auditor and a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa PS, a professional fraternity and was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He was a member of Eva United Methodist Church. Prior to moving into Eva, he was active in both Skyland and Chambee United Methodist Churches, where he held numerous positions in each. He was a proud World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. After he retired, he and Maribelle traveled extensively, in a motorhome, visiting places in 45 states and seven provinces in Canada. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maribelle Calkins Lindler, his parents, two sisters: Thelma Livingston (Comer) and Lola Cobb (Afton) and a grandson: Malachai Lindler
