Funeral service for Paul Richard Ricks, age 85, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richie Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grange Hall Cemetery.
Mr. Ricks, who died Friday, March 1, 2024, at his residence, was born February 20, 1939, in Alabama to Charlie E. Ricks. and Jimmie Hattie Ricks. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandchild, Kristin Ricks. He was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church and a member of the Trinity Volunteer Fire Department for more than 25 years, Following 35 years of service he retired as supervisor for Decatur City Public Works. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he was a hard working man who loved the Lord, his family, and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Jones Ricks; three sons, Greg Ricks (Lene), Robert Ricks, and Chris Jones (Kristy); two daughters, Jamie Ricks Boyles and Michele Ricks; 11 grandchildren, Judson Ricks (Robin), Madisen Ricks, Braden Ricks, Devin Lowery, Ashlyn Lowery, Brittney Segars (Chris), Kyler Allred, Manny Siller, Marley Siller, Arin Jones, and Jacob Jones; and four great-grandchildren, Evelyn Ricks, Alice Ricks, Raelynn Lowery, and Tanner Jones,
Pallbearers will be Dale Ricks, Ricky Ricks, Pedro Siller, Daniel Vinson, Arin Jones, and Alex Ayala.
