Paul Odell White came into this life March 18, 1930, and passed into the next on Palm Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 86 years of age.
Visitation will be Friday, March 25, from 10 a.m. until noon at Colbert Memorial Chapel, Tuscumbia, with service immediately following. Burial will be at Ebenezer Cemetery, Vinemont. Officiants are Brother Richard Edmonds, Brother Ted Vafeas, and Brother David White.
Paul was a servant of God and his country. He was a Korean War veteran, faithful deacon of Hampton Heights Baptist Church, loving husband, father, grandfather,brother and friend. He retired in 1993 as a tool and die maker from Ford Motor Company. Paul touched countless lives around him with his deep-rooted integrity and kindness. He taught us all to be merciful, to be ambitious in Christ, and to love the Tennessee River.
Paul was preceded in death by parents, Colon E. White and Vasta Rogers White; brothers, Merle White, Loran White, and Darrell White; and sister, Cora Mac Dowler.
He is survived by his wife, Willodean Miller White, of Tuscumbia; sons, Ricky Paul (Carolyn) White, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Brian Kevin White, of Russellville; and daughter, Paula Jean (Jason) Oleham, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ben White, Emily White, Justin White, Noah White, Jonah White, Sarah Elliott, Ethan Christison, and Aaron Christison; great-grandchildren, Hayden White, Lilly White, and Laike White; brother, Wayne White, of Paragould, Arkansas; and a loving host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Jones, Larry Miller, Jimmy Puckett, Mike Robinson, Danny White, and Dennis White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ben White, Justin White, Noah White, Jonah White, Ethan Christison, and Aaron Christison.
Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
