Paul Lewis Gresham – Obituary

PaulFuneral services for Paul Lewis Gresham, 77, of Muscle Shoals, will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Colbert Memorial Chapel, Bro. Barrett long officiating. Interment will be at Tri – Cities Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Saturday, March 1, 2014, from 6:00 pm – 9:00pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Gresham; parents, Marvin and Barbara Gresham; brothers, Marvin Gresham and Charlie Gresham.
He is survived by his son, David Gresham (Cindy); daughters, Debbie Grissom (Rodney) and Carolyn Wright (Jeff); grandchildren, Beverly Chandler (Brian), Melissa DeFoor (Kyle), Michael Grissom, Chris Wright, Conner Gresham, and Anna Claire Gresham; Great-granddaughter, Chloe Payton “CP” Chandler; Brothers William Gresham, Raymond Gresham and H.L. Gresham; sister, Mary Alice Simbeck; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was known to many as Dad, Pop-Paw, Pop-Pop, Wart and the godfather of softball. He always went above and beyond to help anyone. He was the rock to so many. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter very much. He was well known for being a softball coach for so many years. He was also an avid Alabama fan taking many to see their first college football game.
Pallbearers will be Joey Pate, Daniel Pate, John Denton, Joshua Beasley, Ray Vernon, Brad Phillips, Mike Thomas, and Ricky Ogletree.
Colbert Memorial Chapel is directing.
