In loving memory of Paul Kenneth Pfeifer, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who peacefully passed away on May 16, 2024, in Huntsville, AL, at the age of 80.

Born on May 20, 1943, in Chicago, IL, Paul lived all over the country before finally settling in Huntsville, Alabama more than 30 years ago. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for the Lord, Jesus, and his family. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Helen Pfeifer, sister Kathy Manley, brother Steven Pfeifer, and grand-daughter Kara Grace Cummings.

Paul’s legacy lives on through his daughters Christine Feltman (Mike), Kelly Cummings Smith (Burns) and Kacey Glidden (Sean), his grandchildren Kelsey Perault (David), Caylor Feltman (Meredith), Caleb Cummings (Elise), Kellen Smith, Mason Smith, Madison Smith, Christian Glidden (Christina), Kylee Myers (Paul) and Kenneth Glidden, his great-grandchildren Kiara Glidden Camden Glidden, Caleb Roth, and Charles Cummings, his brother, Charlie Pfeifer (Peggy), and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

He was not just a father but a guiding light, imparting wisdom, support, and unconditional love to his children. His nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy for him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Paul accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in the early 1970s. He loved the Lord and believed in spreading the love of God through trying to make others laugh and to improve their day. He was eternally optimistic and looked forward to spending eternity with his Lord. He had a forgiving heart, a generous spirit and truly loved and cared for others.

Paul had a varied career that started in the insurance business, he became an entrepreneur owning a golf and tennis store for many years, became a consultant and after being bored in retirement, he found fulfillment in his work at Griffon Aerospace, where he played an integral role in building target drones. His commitment and passion for his job were evident to all who knew him. He made many dear friends at Griffon whom he loved to spend time with outside of work hours.

Beyond his professional life, Paul had a zest for adventure and exploration. He found solace and joy in traveling to new destinations, creating cherished memories with his loved ones along the way. His hobbies included SCUBA diving, music, golf and Oreo cookies and chocolate milk. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he relished every opportunity to gather together, sharing laughter, stories, and love.

Paul Kenneth Pfeifer will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all, until we see him again.

A Celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5th at Whitesburg Baptist Church South Campus, 7300 Whitesburg Drive, Huntsville, AL 35802, with a reception following.
