Paul James Campilongo, age 82 of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his home. He was born on January 12, 1941, in Paterson, New Jersey to Paul James Campilongo and Angelina Fulco Campilongo. He served in the United States Army for 20 years and retired as a General. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles for 45 years.
Paul is preceded in death by his son, Paul James Campilongo, Jr.; parents, Paul, and Angelina Campilongo; brothers, Anthony “Tony”, and Jimmy Campilongo. He is survived by his wife, Gene Campilongo; daughters, Angelena (Gene) Roberts, Pauline (Berry) Lay and Kelly Schnellinger; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Hampton Cove Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in memory of Paul.
