Paul Howard Ezekiel, age 73, of Florence, Alabama, died, Friday, April 7, 2017. The visitation will be Sunday, April 9th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Canaan Methodist Church. The funeral service will start at 3:00 p.m. Marty Fraley will be officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Paul was a member of the Canaan United Methodist Church. He could not contain his excitement at his recent baptism, on October 16, 2016.
Mr. Ezekiel was a retired Boilermaker Local # 455 and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He loved Corvettes, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, old cars and his 1966 Ford Pickup. He also enjoyed working in his shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents James W. and Myrtle Phillips Ezekiel; brothers, Pat and David Ezekiel and sister, Linda Lard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Dorothy Young Ezekiel; son, Chris Ezekiel and wife Shelley; daughter Kanisha Ezekiel Jaynes and husband Wesley; brothers, Ray Ezekiel, Bobby Ezekiel, and Roger Ezekiel; sisters Brenda Gooch and Nina Condry, four grand -children, Krista and Logan Ezekiel, Jacob and Thomas Jaynes, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Logan Ezekiel, Wesley Jaynes, Jacob Jaynes, Thomas Jaynes, Tony Ezekiel, Michael Young, Mickey Ezekiel, and James Matthew Ezekiel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Cooper, Leo Kilburn, Jerry McIntyre, Steve Winter, Phillip Jackson, Richard Hanback, and Kenneth Murphy.
The family wishes to thank Drs; Bowen, Holden, Jannun, and Sherrod, and Amedisys. Also, to caregivers, Gina Fraley and Brenda Forbs.
