Paul Glenn McLemore, 85, of Oakman, passed away Monday, January 25, 2022, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Glenn was a retired United mine worker. He was also a member of Northside Baptist Church where he and his wife enjoyed Campers on Mission and Merry Hearts. He and his wife also enjoyed their home and farm where they enjoyed gardening. A graveside service to honor his life will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Shanghai Memorial Cemetery in Quinton, AL, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Rev. David Byrd will be officiating. He was preceded in death by his wife, Easter McLemore; daughter, Hilda Jean McLemore, parents, Paul McLemore and Grace Smith McLemore; brother, JD McLemore; sister, Leola “sister” Gurganus. He is survived by his daughter, Joann Harrison; grandchildren, Mandy, Melia, and Blake Harrison; sister, Bonnie Whisenhunt; nieces and nephews, Ed Briggs (Joeva), Randy Briggs, Gary Whisenhunt ( Carol), Carla Waid (Darrell), Dianne Gill (Charles), Patty Smith (Jerry), and Sherri Benson (Marty) and a host of great nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Northside Baptist Church. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Lakewood Assisted Living, Ridgeview Nursing Home, and Southeast Hospice.
