Paul Gattis, 78, of Huntsville, passed away Monday.Born in Huntsville to Rufus Woden Gattis and Flora Belle McGee Gattis, Mr. Gattis graduated from Butler High School in 1956. He received his BS degree in Business from Florence State Teachers College (UNA) and his Masters in Procurement from Florida Institute of Technology. Mr. Gattis served in the Army National Guard and retired from Redstone Arsenal with 37 years, serving as Chief of Acquisition Management, Division of the Joint Attack Munitions Systems (JAMS) Office.
Survivors include wife, Peggy Heflin Gattis; daughter, Cindy Gattis (Kevin Primm) of Huntsville; son, Rodney Paul Gattis (Lucy) of Guntersville; stepdaughters, Jennifer Jackson of Decatur and Catherine Lindsey of Birmingham; granddaughter, Anna Siniard; and grandsons, Jackson and Parker Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Louise Gattis, Hazel Earl (Tom), Mary Nell McDonald (Charles) and brothers, Ed Gattis (Mary) and Earl Gattis (Anne).
