Paul Gaston Hendrix, 84, of Cherokee, passed away on September 6th, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Chuck Bradford officiating. Body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Paul was retired from Reynolds Metals after 28 years of service. He was a member and deacon at Harris Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hallie Jeanette Borden Hendrix; parents, Charlie Bob and Virgie Hendrix; brothers, Leon and Doyle Hendrix; and sister, Verna Mae Clark.
He is survived by his son, Danny Glen Hendrix (Sandi), of Cherokee; grandchildren, Hope Hendrix and Faith Hendrix Rhodes (Mike); and great-grandchildren, Elle Reese Rhodes and Evan Michael Rhodes.
His nephews Dwight Borden, Marshall Borden, Randy Halliburton, Chuck Clark, Shon Turberville and Ryan Turberville will serve as pallbearers.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Southern Magnolia Estates, Iuka, Mississippi.
