Paul Edward Drinnon, age 97, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Paul was born December 4, 1924 in Hawkins Co, TN. (A Tennessean by birth and an Alabamian by misfortune). He was the youngest of six (four sisters and one brother), all deceased.

Paul is survived by one son, Paul A. Drinnon (Judy) who reside in Huntsville and one granddaughter, Leah who lives in Clinton, MS.

When Paul was five, his family relocated to Hamblen Co. on the Holston River. He attended Holts Elementary and graduated from Morristown High School (class of ’43). He graduated from Texas Tech with a BSME in 1954 and went to work at Arnold Engineering Development Center in Tullahoma, TN (1954-1962). He then moved to Huntsville, AL and worked at Marshall Space Flight Center (1962-1985). After retiring from NASA in ’85 he worked for Wyle Laboratories (’85-’89). After retiring from the workforce, he moved to Zephryhills, FL and became a “snowbird”. He sang and played Country and Bluegrass at a recreational level (guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro).

You may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 11:00am in Valhalla’s Celebration Chapel. Interment, with Masonic Honors will immediately follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Masonic Garden.
