Paul D. Green, Jr., age 94, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from the United States Postal Service, retired bus driver and realtor. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1618 and the American Legion Post 146. Mr. Green served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul D. Green, Sr. and Mattie Thornsberry Green; his first wife, Shelby Sawyer; four brothers, Pete Green, Jerry Green, Howard Green, and Ray Green; and two granddaughters, Marian Dryden and Lily Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Green of Lawrenceburg, TN; four children, Pam Fleming (Larry) of Booneville, MS, Ann Trout (Billy) of Murfreesboro, TN, Dennis Green (Lori) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Lynn Harris (Greg) of Flagstaff, AZ; four grandchildren, Mark Trout (Lindsey) of Clarksville, TN, Emily Downey (William) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Sara Kate Green (Austin Perry) of Huntsville, AL, and Will Harris of Flagstaff, AZ; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Stanley Green (Wanda) of Shelbyville, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024, with Dennis Green officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
