Mr. Paul A. Smith, Sr. age 72, a longtime resident of Columbia, Tennessee, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Magnolia Healthcare.

 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 23rd at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Columbia, Tennessee, with Pastor Linda Hopkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive visits from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Tuesday before the memorial service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

 

Paul was born on February 13, 1949, in Hampshire, Tennessee and was the son of the late Mr. Fletcher Eugene Smith and the late Mrs. Hattie Davis Smith. He was a 1967 graduate of Carver-Smith High School and worked in various capacities throughout the years including entrepreneurship, management, and professional Bail Bonding.

 

He was a dedicated member of Claiborne Chapel AME Church, Williamsport, Tennessee. He enjoyed taking pictures, horses and motorcycles. He was a devoted friend to many and will be truly missed.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry W. Smith.

 

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Donna, to this union two sons were born, “PJ” Paul, Jr. and Christopher J. Survivors also include his sons, Taurus Allen of Dayton, Ohio and Deon, brother, Alvin (Metral) Smith of Hendersonville, TN, sisters Sylvia Owens and Geraldine Brown of Columbia, TN, sister in law, Mae Cooper of Columbia, TN, special grandson, Zayden, and a host of other grandchildren, family and close friends.

 

Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Honorary pallbearers will be the Williamsport Riders and longtime friends.
