Patsy Louise Nelson Chandler passed away November 29, 2022, at the age of 81. She is survived by her husband Eugene Chandler; happily married 53 years, grandson Caleb Estes (Caleigh Estes), grandson Nick Estes, granddaughter Casie Icks (Ryan Icks), great grandchildren Cate & Cole Estes, great grandchildren Gray & Evie Icks, and brothers Andy Nelson (Betty) and Gerald Nelson (Vicky). She is succeeded in death by parents Edward and Merle Nelson, sons David and Mark Estes, and sister June Barnett. Pat and her husband, Gene, were long haul truckers adventuring to 47 of 50 states. After retirement from driving, Patsy took on a new role as a caregiver for the elderly working for the Alabama Department of Senior services. In her latest years, Patsy enjoyed spending time with Gene, being a dedicated member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, staying active at Therapy Plus fitness, game nights with friends, and loving her grandchildren and great grandchildren unconditionally. She was loved tremendously and will be missed by all.
