Patsy Jean Trussell, age 80, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on September 23, 1942. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Patsy will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She was also addressed by some very special loved ones as Mama Pat, Noni, and Aunt Patty. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nannie B. Rogers; brother, Carl (CT) Rogers; and husband, Ronnie Trussell. Patsy is survived by her loving sons, Tracy Trussell of Atlanta, GA, Darrell Trussell of Decherd, TN, and Eric (Christy) Trussell of Estill Springs, TN; grandchildren Jamie Garner of Tullahoma, TN, Erica (Ryan) Harrison of Cottontown, TN, and Bailey Trussell of Estill Springs, TN; sister, Judy (Bryant) Jones of Tullahoma, TN, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. Patsy had a larger than life presence. She had a warm, welcoming spirit, undeniable sophistication and style, and such a zest for life. She was well traveled and always looking for the next adventure. She loved her family and friends but most of all she adored her grandchildren. She loved the Lord and looked for the beauty in his creation. Aside from her love of travel, she enjoyed entertaining, shopping, boating, playing cards (especially bridge), decorating, cooking (she was well-known for her homemade apple pie), and spending time with her fur babies. Although she will be missed, we find comfort in knowing she is rejoicing with the saints who have gone on before. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 2:00pm at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jerry Stewart officiating. This is open to everyone, friends and family alike. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. A special note of thanks to Dr. Patrick Murphy and staff at Tennessee Oncology in Williamson County. Also, to the nurses and aids as well as the entire staff at Gentiva Hospice and to Patsy’s beloved sister, Judy, who provided her the utmost care through it all. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398. (931)967-2222
