Patsy Ann McAnally Johnson Holland Ms. Patsy Ann McAnally Johnson Holland, age 82, of the Morgan City community of Union Grove, Alabama passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at her residence. Patsy was born in Etowah County, AL. on May 13, 1941 daughter of Marcus Edmondson McAnally and Wilma Nadine Owen McAnally. She was a lifelong resident of the Morgan City/Union Hill community and attended the Morgan City Church of God. She was married to Jay Edward Holland who preceded her in death (2008). Patsy retired from the Morgan County School System where she had been employed as a School Bus Driver.

Patsy was often referred to as “Sweet Patsy.” She had a very generous and kind hearted nature. She loved her family passionately and would do anything for them. Patsy loved to laugh and visit with her family and friends. She could often be found sitting on her front porch. She also enjoyed card games and old shows such as Father Knows Best.

Patsy leaves behind a loving family to cherish precious memories. Those family members include her daughter, Sherry Johnson, son, Shannon Johnson (Kim); close friend, Rick Tidmore; brothers, Lamar McAnally (Dianne) and Barry McAnally (Reba); grandchildren, Clay Johnson, Cooper Johnson and Trace Johnson; great grandchild, Tate Johnson.

Preceding her in death include her parents, Marcus and Wilma McAnally; and sister, Betty Jo McAnally.

Services for Ms. Holland are planned for Monday, March 25, 2024 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City. The visitation will be between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. Brother Roland Cornwell will officiate. Interment will follow at Rescue Cemetery. Pallbearers escorting Patsy to her final resting place are Clay Johnson, Cooper Johnson, Trace Johnson, Dylan McAnally, Landon McAnally, and Levi McAnally.
