ATHENS-The Athens Saturday Market held its annual Patriotic Day at the Pavilion to celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.
There was a children’s parade with decorated wagons, strollers and bicycles.
Winners of the Most Patriotic Award were Bryant and Sutton Smith who were in Revolutionary War era costumes.

Winners of the Most Patriotic Vehicle were Tyler and Sissy Sampieri.
The Daughters of the American Revolution were the judges. DAR also gave away many prizes to children who could recite The Pledge.
