Patrick “Whitey” Dickson, age 66 of Decherd, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 23, 1957, in San Diego, California to the late Edward Lebron and Frances (Smith) Dickson. Whitey retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation as an inspector. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing but most currently enjoyed going to the drive-in movie theater and listening to Pink Floyd music. Whitey is survived by his daughter, Megan Goss; son, Cole Dickson; step-grandson, Colton; brother, Mike Dickson (Nancy Meyer); nephews, Kelly (Machon) Dickson and Bobby Dickson; and several cousins. A memorial gathering for Whitey will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Life Celebration Center of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
