Patricia H. Anderson In the early morning hours of May 14, 2024, Patricia “Pat” H. Anderson, 74, entered Heavens gates to be with her Lord. She was also ready to be with “her” William. After his death in 2019, she longed for the day she would be with him again. Pat and William were married 52 years and neither of them knew much about a life without each other. Pat graduated from Ecru High School in 1967 and was married to the love of her life, William Anderson in 1967. She began her work career at Riveria Shirt Factory, on to Brookwood Factory, then to the Big Tee Burger, and finally opening Pat’s Restaurant. She and William got out of the food industry and became owners of The Pontotoc Shoe Center for many years. In 1999, she began her home daycare along with her daughter, Autumn. Already keeping her grandbabies, she decided to add to the flock helping many parents in Pontotoc County raise their children. Ms. Pat was a mentor for children for over 27 years before retiring. A very busy lady, she was active for over 20 years as a coordinator for the food pantry, faithful member of the Civitan Club, and a dedicated and faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Always helping others was her main goal in life. If she knew someone or a family in need in any way, Pat was always there. She was the most caring, giving person with a heart as big as anyone could imagine. When it came to love, she was blessed with three children whom she would try to move mountains for:  Scott, Chris, and Autumn, then her babies:  the grands and great-grands. Mamaw was always there and thrilled for every new addition to her family.

Survivors include her children, Scott Anderson(Sandra), Chris Anderson(Jesse), and Autumn Matthews(Perry); 13 grandchildren, Andrew Anderson(Taylor), Malanda Sharp(Josh), Austin Anderson(McKinley), Blake Anderson(Katy Beth), Alivia Self(Brian), Lyndsey Anderson, Abigail Anderson, Madison Anderson, Aaron Ledbetter, Amanda Dunaway, Austin Matthews, Emma Matthews, and Mattox Young; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Paulette Anderson(Sam); and sister-in-law, Margie Williams of Terry, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Virginia Hadaway; and her husband, William Anderson.

Services will be Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 2PM at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Frank Wilder, Bro. Terry Miller, and Bro. Andrew Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, May 18th 5-8PM at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc and Sunday, May 19th 1PM until service time. Burial will follow in Pontotoc Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Tutor, Sam Anderson, Jr., Brian Self, Andrew Anderson, Josh Sharp, Austin Anderson, Blake Anderson, and Clint Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Pontotoc County Civitan Club. Memorials may be made to The Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS in Pat’s honor.
