Patricia Munson, 79, of Huntsville passed away June 10th at Huntsville Hospital Family Care Hospice from lung cancer. She was born July 19th, 1941, in Huntsville, the second of two children to Edmund and Doris Wright.
She is survived by her son, Donald Munson; nieces, Joy and Heidi Brockman, grandchildren; Heather and Christian Fantana, and Jennifer Munson; grandnieces, Jadzia and Danica Helprin, and Abigail and Jordan Miranda; great-grandchildren, Charles Waxler, Vittoria Fantana, Cheyenne and Aiden Munson, and Beilyn Fantana.
Patricia was a self-taught musician who became a successful folksinger in her younger days. Professionally she worked as writer of radio commercials, print ads, newspaper and magazine stories. She was a professional administrative assistant in multiple industries including Radio Continuity direction, early innovative Computer companies and Laser Imaging. She was an entrepreneur who created several companies including North Alabama Life magazine.
Patricia was a past member of several local organizations including the Rotary Club of Madison and the Huntsville/Madison Chamber of Commerce.
Her wish for an epitaph was “She has done the best she could.”
