Patricia Lynn “Nana” Stanton, 67, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday, July 15, 2024, at her home in Guntown, MS. She was born June 27, 1957, to Phil and Barbara Payne of Clinton, TN. In the earlier part of her life, Lynn attended the First Baptist Church of Clinton, TN. In her professional career, she was an Executive Secretary at the Natchez Trace through the National Park Service. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching YouTube, and watching hummingbirds. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Norris Lake. Lynn dedicated herself to her late husband, Jeff Stanton of 33 years, and family as a military wife and mother. The highlight of her life was being able to spoil her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Summer Stanton (Kevin), and Savannah Stanton (Kayla); three grandchildren, Preston Harris, Laken Rusoe, and Julie Rusoe; three sisters, Deborah Jones (Gary), Becky Payne, and Sandra Payne; two nephews, Corey Reep, and Chad Reep; and other close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jeff Stanton; two nephews, Adam Payne, and Dusty Payne; and one niece, Allison Reep.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Pegues, Saltillo.
Memorial services honoring her life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues, Saltillo with Bro. Bret McKee officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn’s name to the Autism Center of North Mississippi at 146 S Thomas St, Tupelo, MS 38801.
