Patricia Louise “Pat” Vincent, 76, of Bolivar
Private, family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Ms. Vincent passed from this life Tuesday night at Sugar Creek Retirement Center in Brownsville. She was the daughter of the late Maurice Owen and Rubye Smalley Vincent.

She was born in Bolivar where she grew up and attended schools until she graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1960. She then enrolled in Memphis State University (now University of Memphis), majored in English and graduated in 1964. Ms. Vincent served 32 years with Delta Airlines where she retired as a Supervisor of flight attendants. She had lived in Memphis and Atlanta before returning to Hardeman County in the early 2000’s.

A member of the Bolivar First Baptist Church, she was also a long-time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ms. Vincent was a volunteer at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library History Room and the Hardeman County Archives. She was especially fond of all her nieces and nephews, whom she enjoyed “spoiling” on many occasions.

She is survived by two sisters, Agnes Johnson of Bolivar and Martha (Joel) Laney of North Carolina; three nieces, Jennifer (Todd) Lowe of Bolivar, Jill (Rusty) Rostvold and Amy (Jamey) Lowe, both of North Carolina; nephew, Vincent (Gina) Laney of Georgia; and several great nieces and nephews, Hillary and Brittney Johnson, Jon Lowe, Markee and Carter Laney, Dalton Rostvold, Gia and J. T. Lowe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Jana Johnson and a nephew, Johnny Johnson.
