Patricia Jean Butler, 81, of Athens, AL, passed away on Thursday, January 4th, 2024. She was born on August 12th, 1942, in Athens, AL, to Ben Taylor, Sr. and Reba (Goodin) Taylor.
She is survived by her children Joel Butler (Jennifer), Becky Whitt (Andy), and Mark Butler; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four sisters.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband James Paul Butler; son Roger Daniel Butler; parents Ben and Reba Taylor; grandson Benjamin Butler; Daughter-in-law Dana Butler; and brothers Ben Jr, Wayne, and Michael.
Funeral services for Mrs. Butler will be Sunday, January 7th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Daniel Tucker officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 7th, from 12:00-1:50 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Butler, Jay Butler, Jacob Butler, McKenzie Williams, Brandon Blakely, Chris Vest, Luigi Garcia, Mac Mitchell, Garrett Rotton, and Henry Swindle.
Mrs. Butler loved to babysit children, which she treated as her own. She was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ.
