  Patricia Eleanor Rushing Profile PhotoOn the peaceful morning of Friday, June 28, 2024, our beloved Patricia Eleanor “Pat” Rushing bid farewell to this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication and warmth that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She was born on Monday, April 19, 1937, in Henderson County, TN to her loving parents James and Nell Jackson McLemore.

Pat’s life journey was characterized by her long and esteemed career in banking, culminating in her well-deserved retirement from The Bank of Jackson. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence served as an inspiration to many in the banking community.

Beyond her professional life, Pat was a beacon of love and strength for her family. She held them dear to her heart and made countless memories filled with joy and laughter. Her children, Wayne Rushing (Lisa) of Humboldt, TN and Jayne Rushing Lowery (Farris), of Jackson, TN, were the pride of her life. She is also survived by her brother Ersley McLemore (Lee), sister Glenda McCaslin, grandchildren Jay Lowery (Ivy), Neal Rushing (Megan), Meg Rushing Garrison (Tyler), and great-grandchildren Cannon Lowery, Lakyn Lowery, Mirryn Garrison, and Walker Rushing.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Rushing, whom she was married to for 61 years.

Pat’s positive and encouraging personality touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Active in Credit Women International and a dedicated member of Poplar Heights Baptist Church, she found solace in serving others and cultivating lasting relationships.

Family and friends are invited to honor Patricia’s memory at the services being held at Arrington Funeral Directors on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024. A visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Rushing Cemetery.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to Alzheimer’s Association Mid-South Chapter, 478 Craighead St, Suite200, Nashville, TN 37204. www.act.alz.org

The family would to extend a very heartfelt thanks to the staff of Charter Senior Living for their care and support of Pat during her stay.

In our hearts forever, Pat Rushing will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for her energetic spirit and unwavering love for those around her.

May she rest in peace.
