Patricia Charlene Countryman Waide, 71, known as “Pat” to family and friends, departed this life Sunday August 11, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ms.

Services celebrating Mrs. Pat’s life will be at 2 PM Friday August 16, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Friday August 16, 2024, at Ripley Funeral Home.

Born January 16, 1953, in Memphis Tennessee, Mrs. Pat was one of three girls belonging to the late Charles Vance Countryman and Ona Lucille Countryman Rust. She was a graduate of Treadwell Public School System, and continued her education with Memphis Tech, where she received her cosmetology degree and worked for seven years in a local salon in Memphis.

A Christian, Mrs. Pat lived life to its absolute fullest. She found joy in attending church services, as she would worship the Lord full heartedly and sing hymns giving God all the praise. Her favorite pastimes included taking care of plants, gardening, coloring, puzzles, dancing, and watching westerns, especially her favorite man, John Wayne. Although she could be quite “feisty” at times, Mrs. Pat embodied the best qualities in life, which was an unconditional love, true friendship, and unending support that could be seen in everything she did.

Those left to cherish her memories include, one daughter, Rebecca Manuel (C. J.), four grandchildren, Cubert J. Mauel (Maci), Rebecca Lynn Holliman (Tyler), Joseph Gideon Burk, and Sherry M. Manuel, and one great grandson, Rowan Wayne Holliman.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Preston Collins Waide, one daughter, Regina Leanna Waide, and two sisters, Tina Lynn Countryman and Kathy Dawn Peak.

Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with Mrs. Pat’s family.
