Pat Rogers Sawyer Profile Photo Funeral services for Patricia Ann Rogers Sawyer (Pat), 72, of Corinth, MS are set for visitation on Sunday October 27th at Pleasant Hill United Pentecostal Church from 5-8pm. Funeral will be on Monday October 28th at 11 am, with visitation beginning at 10 am at Pleasant Hill United Pentecostal church. Internment at Magnolia Gardens.  Pat passed away at her home on the morning of October 25th. Pat was born on September 25th, 1952, to Kelsey and Emma Rogers. Mrs. Pat retired from Biggersville Elementary school in 2017, after 28 years of teaching. Due to her passion for education and love for her students, Mrs. Pat came back to BES to work part time as an interventionist. She was a nationally board-certified teacher, and she served as a member of many elementary literacy committees. Her students will always remember her “Friday song” that she sang as she danced down the hallway at the end of the week. To many of her students, she will always be known as “Mamaw Pat.” Mrs. Pat loved her students, teaching, and the world of education, but most importantly she loved her family. She never missed a ball game, piano recital, choir event, graduation, or any special event of her grandchildren’s’.  Mrs. Pat Sawyer is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Sawyer, son Jason Sawyer (Gina), and daughter Jennifer Sawyer Dooley. Mrs. Pat leaves behind six grandchildren, Emy Settlemires (Frank Proctor), Ali Settlemires Perry (Tate), Haley Dooley, John Dalton Sawyer, Savannah Rose Sawyer, and Jameson Sawyer. She leaves behind two brothers: Ronnie Rogers (Barbara) and Elvis Rogers (Sandy); three sisters: Jeannette Rogers Bradley (James Earl), Faye Rogers Boze (Rick), and Shirley Jean Michael. She leaves behind 4 beloved dogs, Leia, Lily, Lucy, and Rocky. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Kelsey Rogers, and a brother Johnny Rogers.  Pallbearers are Brent Sawyer, Chris Sawyer, Samuel Sawyer, Tate Perry, Frank Proctor Jr. and Keith Settlemires. Officiating the service will be Dwayne Kirk, Devyn Cook, and Tony Kirk. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Patricia Sawyer.
