Funeral Services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Johnson, age 77 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Christiana Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Bain and Rev. Roger Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Lineville Health and rehab. She was born and raised in Clay County, and had lived in the Gadsden area for around 15 years of her life. She spent the majority of her life at home, raising her children. She did not spare the rod with her children, but was loving and tended to their needs. Mrs. Johnson also worked in the textile industry, working at Higgins Slacks and Health-Tex in Gadsden respectively. She lastly worked at the laundromat in Lineville. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed spending her time watching soap operas, reading romance novels, and listening to Gospel music. She was Godly, Christian Woman who faithfully served at Christiana Baptist Church, where she was a member, Sunday school and Vacation Bible School Teacher. Mrs. Johnson had a quiet, dry sense of humor, and was very special to her many friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons: Timothy Denson of Eastaboga and Tommy Denson (Martha) of McCalla; two daughters: Cindy Burroughs (Tony) of Brookwood and Pamela Milstead (Robert) of Wedowee; 14 grandchildren: Stephanie Sasser (Mark), Stephen Denson (Jessica), Meghan Parada, Emma Denson, Scarlett Reid (Kevin), Amber Cofield (Mike), Timothy and Thomas Kiser, Aaron Milstead (Carlie), Andrew Milstead (Kyleigh), Riley Milstead, Autumn Wright (Anthony), April Armstrong (Brandon), and Christopher Denson (Jessica); 2 adopted granddaughters: Safira Kiranadevi and Marcela Mocanu; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Rita Adams of Delta; plus a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Solon Lee and Mary Glen Taylor Higgins; her former husbands, Terry Denson and Larry Eugene Johnson; one son, David Denson; one sister, Patsy Phillips; and three brothers: Randy Higgins, Jimmy Ray Higgins, and Kenneth Higgins.
Active Pallbearers will be Aaron Milstead, Andrew Milstead, Riley Milstead, Stephen Denson, Koby Denson, Thomas Kiser, Jay Sasser, Bryce Sasser, and Christopher Denson.
Her visitation will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.; And from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. There will be no public visitation at the church prior to services.
