Patricia Ann Brooks Holt, 86 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, February 4th, 2024, at Limestone Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Holt was born on July 27th, 1937, in Athens, to Fred and Estelle McMullins Brooks.
Mrs. Holt is survived by her daughters Charlsa Greenhaw (David), Sherry Murphy (Mark), Vickie Thornton, Cindy Adams, and Beth Major (Jim); grandchildren Kevin Greenhaw (Elizabeth), Chad Greenhaw (Julie), Ryan Murphy (Erica), Allison Tillett (Jeff), Stacey Thomas (David), Amanda Rikard (Jason), Alisha Singley, Jamey Thornton (Stephanie), Alex Adams, Anna Weems (Colt), Carly Major, and Colin Major; several great-grandchildren; sisters Virginia Wright, Gayle Jackson, and Tammy Balch; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Holt; daughter Teresa McKean; son Charlie Holt; and sister Billie Meadows.
Funeral services for Mrs. Holt will be Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00am-1:45pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hodges Cemetery in Pettusville. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Kevin Greenhaw, Jamey Thornton, Ryan Murphy, Chad Greenhaw, Alex Adams, and Colin Major. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
Mrs. Holt was a member of West Hobbs Church of Christ, and a former member of Elkmont Church of Christ. She enjoyed volunteering with the Birdie Thornton Center, Council on Aging, and ARC of Limestone County. She loved the Atlanta Braves and all Alabama sports!
