With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Anita Bumpus of Decatur, Alabama, who passed away at 8:20 a.m. on September 29th, 2020, at the age of 79. Her passing was peaceful, surrounded by loving family and many attentive caregivers at Decatur Health and Rehab. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Vernon and Sadie Vinson of Elkmont, Ala, brother Larry Vinson(Margaret ) Vinson of Elkmont. Alabama. She is survived by her loving spouse of 56 years, Curtis Bumpus, three children: Tim Bumpus (Peggy)of Australia, Cecelia (Cissy)Petrazio (Matt)of Trinity, Ala, and Debbie Bumpus of Decatur, Ala. Three grandchildren Jennifer Bumpus, Brianna Moore, Constance Lee, three great grandchildren Nola Rose Lee, Nayvee Lee and Eathan Bumpus.

Patricia was known for her talent and artistic ability. She created beautiful art and was adored by many art students over the years. She was a wonderful homemaker and was very proud of every member of her family. She was also an animal lover.

Family Pallbearers will be Matthew Petrazio and Michael Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st, 2020, 11:00 am to 12:45pm at Roselawn Funeral Home in the Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm In front of the Mausoleum, given by Pastor Steve Smith of Beltline Church of Christ, of which she was a long time member.

The family respectfully requests that masks be worn, and social distancing guidelines be followed. In lieu of flowers or gifts please make donations to the Animal Shelter in Decatur Ala.
